Thank you for your interest in Edinburgh College Primary. Quality Christian education is our passion here at Edinburgh. Our Vision Statement - Character through Nurture, Learning and Service, encapsulates our school community beautifully.
Every educator has a "why," and for me, it has always been about the joy that happens when a child feels truly known and supported. My own journey in education began in an incredibly beautiful, Christian school environment, and I have a great passion for creating that same environment for our students. I love seeing a student's face light up when they finally understand a new concept, and I love observing our students learn more about the God who created them and loves them so dearly. Over the last six years, that passion has led me through a number of roles at Edinburgh College, including Year 2 teacher, Learning and Teaching Coordinator, and Deputy Head of Primary, to my current role as Head of Primary, assisting the school's leadership team. My heart will always be with our Primary students. Primary education is where the foundation for everything else is built.
What I love about Edinburgh is that we don’t just focus on the grades. We care about the "whole" of your child—their spiritual growth, their social confidence, and their unique creative spark. Whether they’re playing out on our beautiful grounds, competing in a soccer match or building tremendous structures in the rock river, they’re doing it in a place where they are safe and loved.
At the heart of everything we do is our Christian faith, but it’s not just something we talk about in a single lesson. For us, it’s about the whole atmosphere of our school. We teach our students to treat each other with kindness, find joy in service, and understand that they are unique, full of amazing God-given gifts and talents. We want our students to leave our school with a moral compass and a sense of purpose that lasts forever. We’re a school that feels like a village. We’re here to partner with you as parents, and we’re proud to offer a Christian education that’s accessible and welcoming to everyone.
I’d love to meet you in person and show you around our wonderful campus. Please feel free to reach out, book a tour, or just say hello when you see me at the Garden of Treeden at pick-up time each day. I can’t wait to see what this year holds for our students!
Warmly,
