It is our aim to introduce every student to Jesus Christ and encourage them to develop a personal relationship with God.
Chaplaincy at Edinburgh is passionate about sharing Jesus with our students and families. We believe that God shows His love to us through His Son Jesus and we endeavour to offer each student and family the opportunity to hear this great news.
The Chaplaincy team at Edinburgh organises weekly chapel worship programs, offers both individual and group Bible studies, and continually prays for and provides spiritual and emotional support to the College family and wider community.
The focus of Chapel is spiritual, where we acknowledge God as our creator. Our weekly assemblies involve a variety of activities, games, panel discussions, special items, worship songs and guest speakers throughout the year. Every Thursday morning from 9-10 am (Secondary) and Friday 9-10 am (Primary), our students and staff start the day together, singing and learning about our God and the values He wants to teach us. Our desire is to worship God as a community and gather together as a whole school.
Edinburgh College Chapel programs are student-led. From behind the scenes to the front of the stage, staff encourage and mentor students to plan and deliver engaging and professional programs for their peers. Our students grow by being involved and building confidence as they learn to take up challenges in all areas of school life.
We also provide many different opportunities for socialising and serving each other and the communities around us. Our school students are invited to visit our local Adventist churches, take worship programs and participate in programs such as Adventurers and Pathfinders. This is another opportunity to grow the students' ministry skills and give a platform for our musical groups to share their talents.
