Parent Involvement is critical to building a successful educational community. We welcome the support and assistance of parents at Edinburgh College.
Classroom teachers will often ask for parent assistance with supervision for class excursions throughout the year. The teachers may also request assistance with reading or other in-class activities where a little more supervision is required. The practical help provided by many of our skilled parents around the grounds is greatly appreciated.
It is School Policy that all volunteers helping in the classroom or on excursions have a Working With Children Check. Application forms are available from the Post Office or from the school office.
The Parent Association is very active and supports the school through fundraising and social activities. They also provide support for any promotional events the school runs during the year. At the start of each school year an Annual General Meeting is held, and a Parent Association is formed from names submitted at this meeting. We highly value the work the Parent Association do during the school year. If you are interested in being part of this committee, please let the school secretary know by phoning (03) 9728 2211.
