The VCE program at Edinburgh College is focused on student outcomes, establishing a firm foundation for further study and careers.
Edinburgh College has supported students in completing their senior secondary education for over 50 years. Our students not only receive academic support from qualified and passionate teachers, but they are also provided with spiritual, athletic, social and extra-curricular academic support to meet their individual needs.
Edinburgh College supports students in developing and following their passion for learning and their goals for life. As such we offer a range of on-campus subjects partner with off-campus providers to broaden our offerings based on student interest.
Edinburgh College supports students to maximise their academic growth and support their career goals. As such, students have the opportunity to begin their VCE journey in Year 10, with two on-campus classes in VCE Religion & Society and VCE/VET Sport & Recreation.
This enables a Year 10 student to gain exposure to the world of VCE and have the opportunity to gain credits towards attaining their VCE. This can then lead to a student completing VCE study in Year 11, allowing them to undertake the associated VCAA exam that year and reduce their workload in Year 12. Our partnerships with external organisations provide additional opportunities for students to achieve advanced entry into VCE. Currently, we have Years 10 and 11 students completing advanced VCE or VCE/VET courses in:
In addition to these opportunities, our students also have access to completing their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (CHC30113) with our on-campus Early Learning Centre.
